Simple Tips To Refresh Your Home In The New Year

At the end of every year, we all start to think about resolutions, how we can better ourselves and how we can get the new year off to a great start. So considering you spend around 50% of your time in your own home, why not re-fresh your space as well as yourself? In a bid to help you achieve a fresh start, we've compiled 3 simple, effective and affordable home re-fresh tips to get you motivated.

Tip One: Clear The Clutter

Nothing says re-fresh more than a good clear out, so see what you can discard and make your home feel lighter in doing so. If you don't have time to discard unwanted possessions, simply dedicate some time to clearing away your clutter to make your home feel tidier and well kept. This could be as simple as putting unsightly clutter into our storage stools, pictured below. A clean home is a clean mind - it should have a drastic impact upon your mentality and wellbeing.

Tip Two: Change Your Bed Linen & Towels

A simple, quick and affordable way to uplift yourself and your home is by changing your bedlinen and towels. This doesn't mean you have to change your decorative cushions, throws or bathrobes, but a change in colour for your day to day towels will give you a little boost to kick start your day. There's also nothing lovelier than getting into bed than crisp, fresh set of bed sheets for the perfect sleep - try something with a thread count of 400 or more.

Tip Three: Organise Your Storage

Let's face it, we've all got that one cupboard or drawer that we dread to go near. Whether it's impossible to open or close it as it's so stuffed full of junk or whether you fear opening it incase everything will tumble out, it's time to organise it. Try clearing it out, organising it better and making it a useful storage vessel you love to use.

So go on, give these simple tips a go and aim to start 2018 with a re-freshed mind and home.
